![]() History : Phenix was much like the beginnings of many turn-of-the-century towns. We even found an old Chimney to climb, and the old quarry. ![]() We spent a good portion of our morning just wandering around Phenix, taking pictures, and climbing on top of stacked marble. So, myself and a group of my friends spent our entire Saturday exploring Phenix, an Abandoned Girl Scout Camp, and an Abandoned Albino Farm (more about those places in other blog posts). Phenix was only a 35 minute drive from Springfield where I was living at the time. Our Adventure: I discovered this town one weekend when I was searching online for places to explore. ![]() A town that used to be home to over 500 Missouri residents, Phenix Missouri now remains a Ghost Town. Today, all that is left of Phenix is a silent quarry, empty buildings, and memories. ![]()
